In 2000, census designated place's population was 1549 inhabitants. It is the 26th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Maine. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 2.99 square miles (7.74 kmē ), of which, 2.98 square miles (7.72 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 26th smallest by total area in Maine.
