Friday Harbor Town, San Juan County, Washington is a town located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1989 inhabitants. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 2130, It is the 279th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 1.42 mi˛ (3.68 sq km), of which, 1.36 square miles (3.52 sq km) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 158th smallest by total area in Washington.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1989 people, 896 households, and 469 families living in the town. The population density was 1467.7 people per square mile (566.68/km˛), making its Washington's 195th most densely populated town. There were 1053 housing units at an average density of 774.3 per square mile (298.96/km˛). The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.81. The median age was 40.6 years, The median age of males was 38.2 years, for females the median age was 42.7 years. The racial makeup of the town was 92.01% White, 0.65% Black or African American, 1.31% American Indian, 1.41% Asian, 0.2% Native Hawaiian, 1.81% from two or more races and 2.61% Other races.
