Fresno City, Fresno County, California is a city located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 427652 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 476050, It is California's sixth largest by population . It has total area of 104.8 square miles (271.43 sq km), of which, 104.36 square miles (270.29 sq km) of it is land and 0.44 square miles (1.14 sq km) of it is water, it is the tenth largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 427652 people in the city, organized into 140079 households, and 97923 families living in the city.
