According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Freeborn County is home to 32584 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 30927, making it Minnesota's 34th largest county. It has total area of 722.63 square miles (1871.6 kmē), of which, 707.64 square miles (1832.78 kmē) of it is land and 14.99 square miles (38.82 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 37th largest by total area in Minnesota.
