Frederic Village, Wisconsin


Frederic Village is a city located in Polk County, Wisconsin, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 1262 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1197, making it the 325th most populous in Wisconsin. It is spread over 1.6 square miles (4.14 kmē), of which, 1.54 square miles (3.99 kmē ) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, it is the 361st largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1262 people, 76 households, and 48 families residing in the city. The population density was 820.6 people per square mile (316.84/kmē), it is Wisconsin's 306th most densely populated city. There were 586 housing units at an average density of 380.5 per square mile (146.91/kmē). The average household size was 2.15 persons, and the average family size was 2.99 persons. In the Frederic Village, 23% of the population was under the age of 18, 6.3% were 18 to 24, 22.3% were 25 to 44, 16.9% were 45 to 64, and 31.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 79 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 70.2 males. The median age of the city's population was 43.6 years, the median age of male residents at 37.6 and the median age of female residents at 49.6. The racial makeup of the city was 1234 White, 1 Black or African American, 15 American Indian, 2 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 10 from two or more races and Ohter races.
