Franklin County is a one of the county from Nebraska's 93 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 3574 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3103, making it Nebraska's 27th smallest county. It is spread over 576.11 square miles (1492.12 square kilometre), of which, 575.92 square miles (1491.63 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 46th largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.

For every 100 males there were 107.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 109.9 females.
