Franklin County is one of the 115 county of Missouri, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Franklin County is home to 93807 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 100898 in July 2008, It is the tenth most populous county in the U.S. state of Missouri. The county extends throughout a territory of 930.65 sq mi (2410.37 square kilometre ), of which, 922.81 square miles (2390.07 square kilometre) of it is land and 7.84 square miles (20.31 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the third largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.

In the county the population was spread out, with 27.4% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 30% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.8 males. Its population was estimated at 100898 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97.36% White, 1.08% Black or African American, 0.29% American Indian, 0.33% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 0.92% from two or more races.
