Fox River Grove Village is a city located in McHenry and Lake counties, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 4862 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 5172, giving it the 325th largest population among Illinois. The city encompasses an area of 1.76 square miles (4.56 square kilometre ), of which, 1.66 square miles (4.3 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 491st largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
