The census designated place has a population of 616 as per the 2000 census data. It is 91st most populous in Alaska. It has total area of 129.44 sq mi (335.25 kmē), of which, 126.59 square miles (327.87 kmē) of it is land and 2.85 square miles (7.38 kmē) of it is water, making it the 54th largest by size in Alaska.
