Fountain Valley City is a one of the Orange County, California, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 54978. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 55516, making it California's 139th largest. The city has a total area of 8.92 sq mi (23.1 square kilometre), of which, 8.91 square miles (23.08 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 365th largest by area in the U.S. state of California.
