Fostoria City is a United States city located in the Clay County, Iowa, United States. In 2000, the population was 230. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 242, making it Iowa's 279th smallest. The city has a total area of 0.48 mi˛ (1.24 square kilometre), giving it the 306th smallest by total area among Iowa.
