Fossil City is a city located in the Wheeler County, Oregon, United States. As of 2000 the population was 469. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 379, making it the 75th least populous in Oregon. It covers total area of 0.76 sq mi (1.97 sq km), making it Oregon's 86th smallest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 469 people, 16 households, and 12 families living in the city.
