It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 65394, It is the 50th most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The city encompasses an area of 40.42 sq mi (104.69 sq km ), of which, 31.83 square miles (82.44 sq km) of it is land and 8.59 square miles (22.25 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 26th largest by total area among Florida.
