Fort Myers Beach Town is a town located in Lee County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 6561 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 6410, It is 361st most populous in Florida. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 6.16 square miles (15.95 kmē), of which, 2.86 square miles (7.41 kmē) of it is land and 3.29 square miles (8.52 kmē) of it is water, making it the 284th largest by size in Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6561 people, 3425 households, and 2048 families living in the town.
