Fort Knox Cdp is one of the census designated place of Bullitt, Hardin and Meade counties, Kentucky, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 12377. It is the 36th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 20.94 miē (54.23 kmē), of which, 20.92 square miles (54.18 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, makes it the seventh largest by total area in Kentucky.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12377 residents, 2748 households, and 2598 families in the census designated place.
