It is Alaska's 116th largest by population . The census designated place has a total area of 169.73 sq mi (439.6 sq km), of which, 169.37 square miles (438.67 sq km) of it is land and 0.36 square miles (0.93 sq km) of it is water, it is the 35th largest in terms of geographical size.
