The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 796, making it West Virginia's 172nd largest. The town spans an area of 0.85 mi˛ (2.2 sq km), of which, 0.79 square miles (2.05 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 160th largest by total area among West Virginia.
