Fort Collins City is a United States city located in the Larimer County, Colorado, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 118652 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 136509, It is Colorado's fifth largest by population . It covers total area of 47.14 square miles (122.09 sq km), of which, 46.54 square miles (120.54 sq km) of it is land and 0.6 square miles (1.55 sq km) of it is water, making it Colorado's seventh largest by total area. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Colorado.

The median age is 28.2 years, the median age of male residents at 27.4 and the median age of female residents at 29.1. The racial makeup of the city was 89.63% White, 1.02% Black or African American, 0.6% American Indian, 2.48% Asian, 0.12% Native Hawaiian, 2.53% from two or more races and 3.61% Other races.
