Fort Benton City is one of the city of Chouteau County, Montana, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 1594 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1459, It is the 65th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 2.09 sq mi (5.41 kmē), making it Montana's 116th largest by total area.
