Forsyth County is a one of the county from North Carolina's 100 counties, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. Forsyth County had an official population of 306067 in 2000. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 343028, It is the fourth most populous county in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It covers total area of 412.92 square miles (1069.46 kmē), of which, 409.6 square miles (1060.86 kmē) of it is land and 3.32 square miles (8.6 kmē) of it is water, it is the 66th largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 343028, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 242669 White, 89186 Black or African American, 1322 American Indian, 5261 Asian, 276 Native Hawaiian, and 4314 from two or more races.
