The census designated place has a total area of 10.31 sq mi (26.7 kmē), of which, 2.89 square miles (7.49 kmē) of it is land and 7.42 square miles (19.22 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 36th largest by total area in New Jersey. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in New Jersey.
