Ford City Borough, Pennsylvania is a borough of the Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. Ford City Borough had an official population of 3451 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 3179 in July 2008, making it Pennsylvania's 404th largest. Its area is just over 0.79 mi˛ (2.05 square kilometre), of which, 0.71 square miles (1.84 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 855th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3451 people in the borough, organized into 1580 households, and 935 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4864.8 people per square mile (1878.31/km˛), it is the 153rd most populated borough in terms of population density. There were 1713 housing units at an average density of 2412.7 per square mile (931.55/km˛). The average household size was 2.17 persons, and the average family size was 2.84 persons. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 21.8% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 25.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 84.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.3 males. The median age of the borough's population was 41.8 years, the median age of male residents at 39.1 and the median age of female residents at 44.5. The racial makeup of the borough was 94.38% White, 3.88% Black or African American, 0.14% American Indian, 0.17% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.27% from two or more races and 0.14% Other races.
