As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 67788, It is the 150th largest by population in the U.S. state of California. Its area is just over 24.18 sq mi (62.63 square kilometre), of which, 21.74 square miles (56.31 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.44 square miles (6.32 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 117th largest by total area among California.
