Folsom Borough is a borough located in Atlantic County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Folsom Borough is home to 1972 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1907, It is the 90th least populous in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It covers total area of 8.46 square miles (21.91 square kilometre), of which, 8.27 square miles (21.42 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 53rd largest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1972 people in the borough, organized into 457 households, and 284 families residing in the borough. The population density was 238.5 people per square mile (92.09/kmē), it is the 11th least populated borough in terms of population density. There were 702 housing units at an average density of 84.9 per square mile (32.78/kmē). The average household size was 2.93 persons, and the average family size was 3.18 persons. In the Folsom Borough, 24.9% of the population was under the age of 18, 8.8% were 18 to 24, 30% were 25 to 44, 26.5% were 45 to 64, and 9.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.6 males. The median age of the borough's population was 37.5 years, the median age of male residents at 36.7 and the median age of female residents at 38.1. The racial makeup of the borough was 91.73% White, 4.41% Black or African American, 0.15% American Indian, 0.86% Asian, 0.15% Native Hawaiian, 1.12% from two or more races and 1.57% Other races.
