Flower Mound Town is one of the town of Denton and Tarrant counties, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of town in 2000 stood at 50702 as per the Census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 69307, It is the 48th largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. The town comprises an area of 43.37 square miles (112.33 sq km), of which, 40.87 square miles (105.85 sq km) of it is land and 2.5 square miles (6.47 sq km) of it is water, making it Texas's 47th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 50702 people, 16179 households, and 14262 families living in the town. The population density was 1240.4 people per square mile (478.92/kmē), making its Texas's 449th most densely populated town.
