Florence City is a United States city located in the Florence County, South Carolina, United States. In 2000, the population was 30248. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 31570, making it South Carolina's tenth largest. The city has a total area of 17.72 sq mi (45.89 square kilometre), of which, 17.7 square miles (45.84 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, making it South Carolina's 16th largest by total area.
