Fleming County is one of the 120 county of Kentucky, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Fleming County is home to 13792 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 14735, It is Kentucky's 78th most populous county. The county comprises an area of 351.47 sq mi (910.3 kmē), of which, 350.84 square miles (908.67 kmē) of it is land and 0.62 square miles (1.61 kmē) of it is water, it is the 48th largest in terms of geographical size.

Age range in the county was well distributed with 25.4% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 29% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 13.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.2 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 14735, The racial makeup of the county was 97.32% White, 1.61% Black or African American, 0.13% American Indian, 0.18% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.77% from two or more races.
