Flat Rock City is one of the city of Wayne County, Michigan, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. Flat Rock City had an official population of 8488 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 8771, making it Michigan's 131st largest. It has total area of 6.8 square miles (17.61 sq km), of which, 6.7 square miles (17.35 sq km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 sq km) of it is water, it is the 104th largest in terms of geographical size.
