Flagler County is a United States county located in the United States of Florida. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 49832 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 91247, It is the 35th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 570.76 sq mi (1478.26 square kilometre), of which, 485 square miles (1256.14 square kilometre) of it is land and 85.77 square miles (222.14 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Florida's ninth smallest county by total area.

The population density was 102.7 people per square mile (39.65/kmē), it is Florida's 34th most densely populated county. There were 24452 housing units at an average density of 50.4 per square mile (19.46/kmē). The average household size was 2.32 persons, and the average family size was 2.67 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 17.9% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 20.3% from 25 to 44, 28.3% from 45 to 64, and 28.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.9 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 91247, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 85.62% White, 10.77% Black or African American, 0.21% American Indian, 2.04% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 1.34% from two or more races.
