It is the 264th least populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 16.41 square miles (42.5 square kilometre ), of which, 16.35 square miles (42.35 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 108th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1991 people, 678 households, and 581 families living in the census designated place.
