Fillmore County, Minnesota is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 21122 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 20850, It is 45th most populous county in Minnesota. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 862.15 square miles (2232.96 sq km), of which, 861.25 square miles (2230.63 sq km) of it is land and 0.9 square miles (2.33 sq km) of it is water, making it the 28th largest by size in Minnesota.

In the county the population was spread out, with 26.1% under the age of 18, 7% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 102.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 104.4 females. The July 2008 population estimate is 20850, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 20577 White, 69 Black or African American, 24 American Indian, 42 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 137 from two or more races.
