Ferndale Borough, Cambria County, Pennsylvania is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of borough in 2000 stood at 1834 as per the Census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 1653, It is 653rd most populous in Pennsylvania. The borough comprises an area of 0.39 mi˛ (1.01 sq km), of which, 0.35 square miles (0.91 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, making it Pennsylvania's 225th smallest by total area.

The population density was 5198.2 people per square mile (2007.04/km˛), it is Pennsylvania's 131st most densely populated borough. There were 849 housing units at an average density of 2425.7 per square mile (936.57/km˛). The average household size was 2.32 people, and the average family size was 2.88 people. In the borough the population was spread out, with 21.6% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 88.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.5 males. The median age is 39.8 years, The median age of males was 38 years, for females the median age was 41.4 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 1806 White, 21 Black or African American, 2 American Indian, 1 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 4 from two or more races and Ohter races.
