Fenton City is one of the city of St. Louis County, Missouri, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 4360 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 4285, It is the 151st largest in terms of population. The city encompasses an area of 6.44 sq mi (16.68 sq km ), of which, 6.13 square miles (15.88 sq km) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 90th largest by total area in Missouri.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4360 people in the city, organized into 1587 households, and 1240 families living in the city. The population density was 710.7 people per square mile (274.4/kmē), making its Missouri's 614th most densely populated city. In the city the population was spread out, with 25.5% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 29.1% from 45 to 64, and 11.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 103.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 108.7 females. The median age of the city's population was 40.1 years, the median age of male residents at 39.4 and the median age of female residents at 40.5. The racial makeup of the city was 4272 White, 17 Black or African American, 7 American Indian, 41 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 15 from two or more races and 8 Ohter races.
