Federal Way City is a one of the King County, Washington, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 83259 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 84309, making it Washington's seventh largest. Its area is just over 21.15 sq mi (54.78 kmē), of which, 21.03 square miles (54.47 kmē) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 kmē) of it is water, it is the 28th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

The population density was 3959.4 people per square mile (1528.73/kmē), it is Washington's 22nd most densely populated city.
