Faulk County is a county in the United States of South Dakota. In 2000, county's population was 2640 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 2255, making it South Dakota's 11th smallest county. It covers total area of 1005.69 square miles (2604.73 kmē), of which, 1000.14 square miles (2590.35 kmē) of it is land and 5.55 square miles (14.37 kmē) of it is water, it is the 31st largest by area in the U.S. state of South Dakota.

In the county the population was distributed as follows: 26.6% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 22% from 45 to 64, and 22.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 99.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.7 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2255, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 99.29% White, 0.09% Black or African American, 0.27% American Indian, 0.04% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.31% from two or more races.
