Fairmount City is a city in the Gordon County, Georgia, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 745 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 809, It is Georgia's 375th largest by population . Its area is just over 1.2 square miles (3.11 sq km), it is the 139th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.
