As per the 2000 census, census designated place has a population of 537 inhabitants. It is the 60th smallest in terms of population. The census designated place encompasses an area of 17.16 mi˛ (44.44 square kilometre ), of which, 12.64 square miles (32.74 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.52 square miles (11.71 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 33rd smallest by area in the U.S. state of Maryland.
