Fairmont Town is a town in the Robeson County, North Carolina, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2604. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2730, making it North Carolina's 220th largest. The town encompasses an area of 2.23 square miles (5.78 square kilometre), it is the 361st largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 2604 people, 1078 households, and 686 families residing in the town. The population density was 1171.4 people per square mile (452.28/kmē), making its North Carolina's 145th most densely populated town.
