Fairmont City, Marion County, West Virginia is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The city has a population of 19097 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 19024, It is the seventh largest in terms of population. It has total area of 8.19 sq mi (21.21 kmē), of which, 7.83 square miles (20.28 kmē) of it is land and 0.36 square miles (0.93 kmē) of it is water, it is the 26th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks 18 in the size of its inland waterways in West Virginia.
