Fairhope City is a United States city located in the Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. In 2000, the population was 12480. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 17147, It is the 46th largest by population in the U.S. state of Alabama. The city encompasses an area of 11.01 square miles (28.52 square kilometre ), of which, 11 square miles (28.49 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Alabama's 121st largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12480 residents, 5345 households, and 3575 families in the city. The population density was 1135.1 people per square mile (438.26/kmē), it is Alabama's 38th most densely populated city.
