It is Michigan's 142nd largest by population . The census designated place comprises an area of 4.45 square miles (11.53 sq km), of which, 4.21 square miles (10.9 sq km) of it is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 sq km) of it is water, making it Michigan's 170th largest by total area.
