Fair Haven Borough, Monmouth County, New Jersey is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 5937 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 5910, It is New Jersey's 260th largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.68 square miles (4.35 kmē), of which, 1.67 square miles (4.33 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 328th largest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5937 people, 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 3559.3 people per square mile (1374.25/kmē), it is New Jersey's 195th most densely populated borough. There were 2037 housing units at an average density of 1219.8 per square mile (470.97/kmē). The average household size was 2.97 and the average family size was 3.33. The population's age distribution was 33% under the age of 18, 4% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.9 males. The median age of the borough's population was 37.4 years, The median age of males and females living in Fair Haven Borough was 36.5 and 38.1 years respectively. The racial makeup of the borough was 5573 White, 243 Black or African American, 2 American Indian, 58 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 48 from two or more races and 13 Ohter races.
