Everett City is a city located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 38037 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 37353, It is the 36th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.67 mi˛ (9.51 sq km), of which, 3.38 square miles (8.75 sq km) of it is land and 0.28 square miles (0.73 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 144th largest by total area among Massachusetts.

As of the census of 2000, there were 38037 people in the city, organized into 15435 households, and 9551 families living in the city. The population density was 11241.1 people per square mile (4340.21/km˛), giving it the fifth most densely populated city among the Massachusetts. There were 15908 housing units at an average density of 4706.5 per square mile (1817.19/km˛). The average household size was 2.45 persons, and the average family size was 3.11 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 21.6% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.4 males. The median age is 35.6 years, The median age of males and females living in Everett City was 34.2 and 37 years respectively. The racial makeup of the city was 79.71% White, 6.27% Black or African American, 0.32% American Indian, 3.25% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, 5.39% from two or more races and 4.99% Other races.
