Everett City is a city located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 38037 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 37353, It is the 36th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.67 mi˛ (9.51 sq km), of which, 3.38 square miles (8.75 sq km) of it is land and 0.28 square miles (0.73 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 144th largest by total area among Massachusetts.

In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 21.6% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.4 males.
