Evansville City is a United States city located in the Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. In 2000, the population was 121582. In July 2008, its estimated population was 116309, It is the third largest by population in the U.S. state of Indiana. It has total area of 40.76 square miles (105.57 square kilometre), of which, 40.7 square miles (105.41 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the fourth largest by size in Indiana.

The racial makeup of the city was 104858 White, 13275 Black or African American, 257 American Indian, 870 Asian, 55 Native Hawaiian, 1669 from two or more races and 598 Ohter races.
