Erie Town is a town located in the Boulder and Weld counties, Colorado, United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 6291 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 16432, It is Colorado's 78th largest by population . The town comprises an area of 9.54 mi˛ (24.71 square kilometre), of which, 9.46 square miles (24.5 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 50th largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 6291 people, 2199 households, and 1743 families living in the town. The population density was 665.3 people per square mile (256.87/km˛), it is Colorado's 231st most densely populated town. There were 2282 housing units at an average density of 241.2 per square mile (93.13/km˛). The average household size was 2.86 people, and the average family size was 3.18 people. In the town the population was distributed as follows: 30.3% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 43.8% from 25 to 44, 17.3% from 45 to 64, and 3.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 101.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.2 males. The median age was 32.5 years, The median age of males was 32.6 years, for females the median age was 32.4 years. The racial makeup of the town was 5645 White, 27 Black or African American, 41 American Indian, 172 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, 148 from two or more races and 256 Ohter races.
