Englewood Cliffs Borough, New Jersey is a borough of the Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The borough has a population of 5322 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 5804, giving it the 272nd largest population among New Jersey. It has total area of 3.38 miē (8.75 kmē), of which, 2.09 square miles (5.41 kmē) of it is land and 1.29 square miles (3.34 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 171st largest by total area among New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5322 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2544.3 people per square mile (982.36/kmē), making it the 290th most densely populated borough in New Jersey. In the borough the population was distributed as follows: 20.7% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 27.7% from 45 to 64, and 22% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 89.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.8 males. The median age of the borough's population was 44.8 years, the median age of male residents at 43.2 and the median age of female residents at 46.3. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 66.84% White, 1.37% Black or African American, 0.04% American Indian, 29.69% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.35% from two or more races and 0.71% Other races.
