Emmonak City is a one of the Wade Hampton Census Area, Alaska, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, the population was 767. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 841, making it Alaska's 70th largest. It covers total area of 8.64 mi˛ (22.38 sq km), of which, 7.51 square miles (19.45 sq km) of it is land and 1.13 square miles (2.93 sq km) of it is water, making it the 99th smallest by size in Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 767 residents, 189 households, and 150 families in the city. The population density was 102.2 people per square mile (39.46/km˛), making it the 70th most densely populated city in Alaska. There were 218 housing units at an average density of 29 per square mile (11.2/km˛). The average household size was 4.06 and the average family size was 4.58. In the city the population was spread out, with 44.1% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 15.4% from 45 to 64, and 5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 116.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 113.4 males. The median age was 23 years, the median age of male residents at 22.1 and the median age of female residents at 23.6. The racial makeup of the city was 5.61% White, 0.26% Black or African American, 91.26% American Indian, 0.13% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 2.74% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
