Emily City is a city located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Emily City had an official population of 847 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 991, It is the 368th largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 36.1 sq mi (93.5 kmē), of which, 30 square miles (77.7 kmē) of it is land and 6.1 square miles (15.8 kmē) of it is water, it is the 19th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 847 people in the city, organized into 368 households, and 244 families living in the city. The population density was 28.2 people per square mile (10.89/kmē), making it the 12th least densely populated city in Minnesota. There were 876 housing units at an average density of 29.2 per square mile (11.27/kmē). The average household size was 2.3 people, and the average family size was 2.85 people. In the city the population was spread out, with 22.4% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 19.1% from 25 to 44, 29% from 45 to 64, and 24.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 97.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 100.9 females. The median age is 47.7 years, the median age of male residents at 45.5 and the median age of female residents at 49.3. The racial makeup of the city was 829 White, 2 Black or African American, 8 American Indian, 2 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 6 from two or more races and Ohter races.
