Emerson Borough is a borough in the Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Emerson Borough is home to 7197 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 7353, It is the 226th largest by population in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Its area is just over 2.42 square miles (6.27 sq km), of which, 2.24 square miles (5.8 sq km) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 249th largest by total area among New Jersey.
