Elsmere Town is a United States town located in the New Castle County, Delaware, United States. The population of the town was 5800 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 5688, giving it the 17th largest population among Delaware. The town extends throughout a territory of 0.98 square miles (2.54 sq km ), making it the 40th largest by size in Delaware.
